David Dollar, Country Director, China and Mongolia Bureau of the World Bank, announces the survey report on Governance, Investment Climate, and Harmonious Society: Competitiveness Enhancements for 120 Cities in China |
On Nov. 11-12, 2006, co-sponsored by the World Bank, State Information Center, the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission, Publicity and Education Center of the Ministry of Land and Resources, and Hangzhou Municipal People's Government, the Fourth China Investment Climate Forum, which featured the theme “Regional Coordination and Overall Competitiveness of City Clusters,” was held in Hangzhou.
At the Forum, the World Bank announced the survey report on Governance, Investment Climate, and Harmonious Society: Competitiveness Enhancements for 120 Cities in China . The Report, on the basis of the investment climate survey of 12,400 enterprises in China 's 120 cities, calculated the ranking of China 's 120 cities in terms of investment climate, which selected as “ Golden City ” Hangzhou , Qingdao , Shaoxing, Suzhou , Xiamen and Yantai, and as “ Silver City ” 13 cities, such as Beijing , Dalian and Dongguan and so on. |
