One of the World Bank's recent initiatives has been to assist the developing countries in conducting systematic and large-scale investigation into the enterprises' investment climates, with a view to achieving a better knowledge of those problems in both infrastructure and remedial structures, both of which have inhibited otherwise more productive investment and employment generation.
