International Cooperation Center of National Development and Reform Commission
The International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission, P. R. China (hereinafter referred to as ICC, NDRC) is an institution directly under the jurisdiction of NDRC. It has an independent legal status. ICC maintains broad contacts and close relations with departments of the Chinese central and local governments, domestic academic circles and businesses.
The main functions of ICC are as follows: to organize and implement cooperation programs signed between NDRC and foreign governments, international organizations, institutions as well as foreign companies; to conduct international seminars, workshops, lectures and training courses of synthetic and special topics in the fields of economic development and system reform; to organize and research international economic issues; to manage the procedures for overseas study tours and training groups related to ICC; to serve as host for foreign organizations, civil institutions and companies visiting China and assist them in exploring business opportunities; to provide consulting services for foreign investors and introduce cooperation partners to them; to establish a platform for local governments, enterprises and investors, and serve Chinese cities’ economic development; to set up commercial and industrial entities; to edit, translate and publish materials in both Chinese and English on economic development and system reform; and to publish an internal magazine entitled Investment Climate Forum(Former Perspectives). |
